Reduce, Reuse, Recycle:
Reduce

We all have certain things we consume that are in excess of our actual needs. Whether this is energy, food, water, gasoline, or other readily available resources. However, what is readily available to most of us in developed countries, is often impossible to obtain in many parts of the world. Common life necessities are not so common in third world countries and the energy to power homes and vehicles is a very precious commodity that is often squandered or wasted out of convenience.

There is much to be done to reduce not only waste, but our environmental footprint in an ever-changing world. The next time you decide to drive to the store, consider walking rather than driving. The next time you turn on the shower, shave an extra minute off your water use. The next time you feel a chill in your home, put on a sweater rather than cranking up the thermostat.
